Overloaded pickup van hits barrier at Kolkata Airport, causes traffic chaos

A Kolkata-bound pickup van from Barasat got stuck after hitting the height barrier at Gate No. 2.5 of the airport entrance road, causing traffic congestion on Jessore Road and the approach to Kolkata Airport. The incident occurred around 8:30 AM today when the overloaded pickup van was heading towards Kolkata via VIP Road through Kolkata Airport.

Police personnel from the Airport Traffic Guard arrived at the scene and detained the driver for questioning regarding the excessive load on the vehicle. Meanwhile, efforts are underway to remove the stuck pickup van from the spot. Due to the incident, a section of the road has been affected by traffic congestion.
